Lazard was formed on 31 July 2007 as a result of the acquisition of Carnegie, Wylie & Company by Lazard, the global financial advisory and asset management firm.

Lazard operates as a financial services house, able to provide global perspective and quality transaction execution skills, together with a deep local market knowledge and experience.

Lazard's principal activities are focused in:

  • advisory, comprising M&A and equity capital markets transactions
  • private equity.

Lazard's objectives are to:

  • provide global quality investment and financial advisory services
  • provide differentiated, unbiased and unconflicted advice to clients
  • maintain long term, mutually profitable relationships with clients
  • be the leading corporate advisory firm in the Australasian region.

Currently, Lazard has offices in Sydney and Melbourne.

Lazard's advisory focus is on large and medium size corporate assignments, including M&A transactions, capital raisings, and general strategic and corporate advice.

LCW Private Equity's investment focus is on investment opportunities that require it to provide or arrange equity capital in the range of AUD$5 million to AUD$50 million. However, LCW Private Equity will invest smaller or larger amounts depending on the merits of an individual investment.
