Lazard

Only the name has changed.

From 1 July 2009, Lazard Carnegie Wylie will be known simply as Lazard. This completes the total integration across Australia of all branding and services that started in 2007 when Lazard acquired Carnegie, Wylie & Company. Importantly, the personnel has not changed, giving loyal clients the confidence of continuity in their business relationship under the steadfast stewardship of local co-founders and principals, John Wylie and Mark Carnegie, with the additional support of the experienced team in Sydney and Melbourne.

In announcing this milestone, Australian CEO John Wylie, said: "The business world is one community in the 21st century, so it makes perfect sense for us to present our business seamlessly with one name across the globe and streamline our operations domestically. This is the completion of a lot of hard work over the last two years as we have successfully blended Australian and offshore operations. As Lazard, we have the perfect basis to extend our leadership position and expand our capabilities, offering unparalleled service and truly independent advice to our clients."

With its origins dating back to 1848, Lazard is one the world’s preeminent financial advisory and asset management firms, operating from 39 cities across 24 countries in Australia, North America, Europe, Asia, Central and South America.
