Juan Antonio Godoy is a Director in Lazard's Madrid office, where he focuses on M&A across Spain and Portugal and leads the firm's Debt Advisory practice in Iberia.
Juan Antonio has more than a decade of experience advising corporates, family-owned groups and financial sponsors on landmark M&A and financing transactions across Europe and Latin America, with deep expertise in infrastructure, energy and telecommunications. His mandates span the full spectrum of strategic and financing advisory: sell-side and buy-side M&A, project and holding company financings, refinancings and tailor-made liability management solutions. Within infrastructure, he has advised on transactions spanning regulated assets, renewables, digital infrastructure and transport.
Prior to joining Lazard in 2021, he spent eight years at Banco Santander, in the Global M&A and Global Infrastructure Debt Advisory teams. Juan Antonio holds a BS in Economics from the University of the Basque Country.
