Alastair Birkby

Ali Birkby joined Lazard in March 2022, and is currently a Director in the Venture & Growth Banking Team based in London. Ali helps lead company coverage in Europe, with a specific focus on the FinTech, Software and Marketplaces.
Prior to Lazard, Ali was an Equity Research Analyst at Citigroup, covering the US Internet and European Consumer sectors. Ali analysed a broad range of industries, with covered companies including Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, and Netflix, among others. Before Citi, Ali trained as an Accountant at PwC.
He is both CFA and ACA qualified, with an undergraduate degree from Loughborough University.
