Daniel Burton-Morgan is a Managing Director in the Strategic Capital Solutions Group and Head of Equity Capital Markets Advisory, North America at Lazard. Prior to joining Lazard, Daniel was Head of Americas ECM Financial Sponsor Origination at Bank of America. Recent transactions of note that Daniel led in that role include the $7bn+ IPO of Medline for Blackstone, Carlyle and H&F (the largest sponsor IPO of all time), the IPO of healthcare business Global Medical Response for KKR and the IPO of defense tech company AEVEX for Madison Dearborn. Away from IPOs, Daniel led secondary sales of stock for sponsors including Blackstone, KKR, Apollo, TPG, Thoma Bravo, Platinum and 3G in a number of their portfolio companies. In addition, Daniel also led the $4.8bn block sale for SoftBank in T-Mobile, the largest US block sale of all time. During his time at Bank of America, Daniel held other leadership positions including Head of Americas ECM Syndicate where he oversaw more than 1,000 deals, including over 200 IPOs, across $600bn+ of issuance, and successfully priced over $80bn worth of block sales. Daniel spent 15 years in London and was previously Head of UK ECM for Bank of America in London, after running the European ECM Syndicate desk for over five years. Daniel began his career as an Analyst covering UK M&A.
Daniel holds a First-Class degree in Management Science from the University of Warwick.
