Borja Semprún is a Managing Director at Lazard, based in Madrid. Mr. Semprún has over 16 years of corporate finance and capital markets experience. His areas of activity include mergers and acquisitions, capital structure advice, capital-raising, restructurings, long-term client advisory work, and others.
Borja Semprún leads industrials and infrastructure in Spain and Portugal, with a broader focus on energy transition in Europe. He also works with clients in Iberia and Latin America in telecoms, consumer & retail, healthcare, transport & logistics and real estate.
Mr. Semprún has advised on a broad range of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions for both strategic and private equity clients, including relevant public takeover bid experience, as well as capital markets, debt advisory and restructuring assignments.
Mr. Semprún first joined the firm in 2009. He holds a degree in business administration and finance from CUNEF University in Madrid.
